Edward J. Guinaugh, 80, of Edison Manor Nursing Center, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at the nursing center. He was born Jan. 8, 1932, in New Castle, a son of the late Arthur and Mary Devlin Guinaugh. He attended St. Mary School and New Castle High School. Ed later served in the Navy aboard the USS Constitution. He worked in construction and for many years he lived in Hollywood, Fla., where he was a hotel manager. He enjoyed word puzzles and sports of all kind, and visiting his nieces and nephews in Colorado Springs, Colo. Ed was always with a smile and kind word to his family and friends. He is survived by a sister, Joanne Daly of New Castle; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Catherine, Mercedes, Dorothy and Lucille, and five brothers, Francis, Arthur, James, John and Kevin. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Entombment will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Arrangements are by the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, 111 W.
